HC HIGHLYQUARANTINED
EYE ON FAME
Merlin is an 11yr old gelding by Dash Ta Fame and out of Jeo Show Girl by Johns Eye Opener by Mr Eye Opener.
Merlin sustained a suspensory tear 3yrs ago when he fell on bad ground back to back at two different rodeos, after the second fall we were able to see the inflammation and tear on ultrasound. All the proper steps were taken to heal the tear, from stall rest, time off, pasture time, hot walker, aquatread, PRP, shockwave, all the things. By the time that was said and done it was winter so I turned him out for the winter. He has since been cleared to go back to work but I now have two children and my other finished horses I'm riding, so he's now sat for another year.
If interested, he would make a great horse for someone who wants to properly take the time to slowly get him legged back up and run at a slower pace. I can't say if he'll ever be a 1D horse again (I've seen it happen multiple times), but since he hasn't been ran since the injury, I can't say for sure. He was a top 1D/pro level horse before the injury. He came from Ceri Ward in Oklahoma, and she had much success with him. He has ran lots of low 17's on a standard pattern, with equistat earnings of over $9,000 (and much more).
Merlin sells as is, with no guarantee of soundness, performance ability, or anything else implied.
